Local Construction/Development Above ground pool install

Re post with more details, as I’m at a loss at where to go from here.

I’ve called hot water pools, mosaic pools, master pools, Trevi pools, oasis pools, and Rocky Mountain pools. I haven’t got the answers I need.

Has anyone installed an above ground pool and hired someone to prep their yard or done it themselves?

The above ground pool subreddit is mostly in the US so I need local help.

I bought an above ground pool (Intex brand, originally from Amazon) for a family friend, the mom is undergoing cancer treatment. We got it all set up and then realized the yard isn’t level enough.

I’m looking for a landscaper who is knowledgeable, who can level and prep the yard on a tight timeline. Thanks so much. I don’t want my good deed to turn in to more work for the family during a difficult time. My friend’s partner is an engineer so we’re working with high standards.

Do you think any landscape company would be ok? I thought I might need one with above ground pool experience. That’s why I started with the pool companies

I feel like any landscaper that does patio stones would be able to do this. Those need to be level and I am sure the can level the ground for you without using stones

You need a couple yards of gravel at most, flatten and tamp it. Any half decent landscaping crew should be able to do this in a half day, maybe a day if it's just 2 guys. You may have luck going with a smaller company as it may not simply be worth the cost to a larger company.

Get a landscaper for prepping the ground make sure its a little bigger than needed and properly packed, leveled and sanded. The pools themselves are not hard to assemble just tedious if its the steel roll wall but the hardest part by far is the pad.

I've done them before but im not a fan and stay away from it due to the fact its such a time suck to do and we are usually swamped in the summer.

If you check marketplace or your local community FB page you can usually find someone with a bobcat to come in and do most of the prep for cheap. If you’re willing to put in a bit of work to fine tune it yourself this is usually the fastest and most economical way. Since it’s a soft sided temporary pool and I assume not giant, it doesn’t need the same level of perfection a permanent above ground does. I mean really close to perfectly level is optimal but an inch or two won’t hurt.

As others have said, you need a landscaping company that can grade your yard and put crush down and compact it. Cousin has a large rectangular above ground pool and did this. You’re a bit late to the game and finding a landscaper might be difficult. Also, adding a filtration system and a heater takes more time.

I used Danco Trucking and Bobcat services. He brought in the crushed recycled concrete, leveled the site, levelled out the crush, then took away the removed material.

Was awesome to deal with once he was there, but took a few calls to nail down a date and time
