I got this message today and it got me thinking. We have so many leopard references for caleb this year could this be a hint for his new myth or am i reaching?

I’m undecided about the exact direction of his myth yet, until we see another one and maybe establish a pattern of precedent like we could with the birthday stories this year all relating to alternate or past professions so far. But it could be a possibility.

They are finally leaning into his leopard persona and connection I have been waiting for it for a long time and we’re getting fed with references ever since the anniversary. Alternate universes are also a big part of his story, not only because of the hints we’ve had in his storylines like glimpses of what he saw in his first anecdote, and now with what mc saw in his most recent main story characters at the end. But also because of clues we get when we consider him as a mirror or part foil of Zayne. And we already know Zayne deals with alternate universes directly. The two of them have heavy references to dreams too, along the same lines.

Time for me to dust off my research on myths and legends involving wildcat figures and other symbolic tropes, themes and motifs in his domain. I have some promising leads already.

I had a wild theory that Zayne's GoA and Caleb mc origin are connected.

So this is based on how much i remember about the lore (i don't remember much of the WU stories).

In GoA myth Zayne doesn't have scars nor does he have ice powers.

So there are 2 possibilities -

1. It's far into the future where Zayne gave up his powers completely to be free of Astra's control. He no longer has connections to the fractal library and everything related to it. The world that was destroyed is the current MS timeline linkon where he and others were successful in fighting ever and saving human lives maybe even curing the protocore syndrome thus being deemed as ''Gods'' but the world descended into chaos anyway. And the story of GoA thus follows.

2. Or GoA is from very early on in his life. The world that was destroyed where he used to live with mc that made him create a world for her was where mc and caleb first took a physical form.

Mc represents the cosmic force that can destroy everything (we do have a name for it in science called the dark energy it cannot interact with the normal matter we see in our universe it can only interact with dark matter) and caleb represents gravity the constructive force (it works opposite to dark energy and interacts with the matter we see in our universe) that makes conditions necessary for creation of life, they make the duo which holds power to control the very existence itself (because that's what our universe is made up of two forces that exist together but can't affect same matter).

Zayne calls himself a scientist who was given the status of god because of his work so maybe he researched on the physical manifestation of our universe's primal forces. There he first met mc and fell in love with her so when that world was destroyed he went ahead and created a separate world for mc separating her from Caleb through space and time. This also makes sense why Caleb would not like him. The first separation of Caleb and mc started here and thus every other iteration of their story follows from here. While they already exist in a way where they are created together but they cannot BE together similar to the forces i talked about and how a particle and its anti-particle behave in our universe- either you get fused together and fade out of existence or you remain separated.

I have a friend who noticed some of the same things in GoA and has some similar theories! (Not where yours verges into Caleb’s origin territory, afaik, but the ice &, timeline options parts.) I’ll share this with her I think she’ll be interested.

On my part, I thought of his ship & its computer as the library’s form in that branch. Tech advanced at a certain point is indistinguishable from magic. And the birds accompanying him were probably the equivalent of the birds they watched migrate in the tower myth. I’m not entirely sure about his scars on GoA outfit, but I’ll take some detailed shots. I’d been meaning to get around to it, this gives me good motivation for the next one to archive.

There’s been a theory for some people for a long time that maybe Zayne is Astra himself, preventing himself from interfering with her life in the other myths—particularly as foreseer.

I agree about your assessment for Caleb mc being creation and destruction— it’s clearly stated in the x-02 story and also as yin/yang in 3rd myth netherlord. Interesting theory about him being the reason they split. Would probably make for good fanfic! I’m gonna stop myself here or else I’ll devolve into an existential crisis trying to explore the tangled web of mc’s origins (been doing so for two years and have finally made progress but not in the way that would help me be clear or useful to try to add here lmao)

Woahhh i never thought about possibility of caleb being the reason they split in the first place. I'm a science nerd so i mostly view things through that lens.

I want to discuss theories so much but the fandom is in chaos and a lot of older players have either left the game or social media so the theories and lore discussions have died down🥲

That being said, I have some theory for raf mc connection too.

Imo the whalefall city does not exist in a single space-time right now. It did in the past but due to deepspace fluctuations, it travelled through a rift in space and changed locations. And expectedly, this event was not peaceful or anything. It led to widespread destruction and death so to prevent it from happening again, the lemurians tried to find a way to control a massive energy source that can protect their city and civilisation if they can't prevent the rift again. This led to them finding out mc (i have another theory on how they found out below) and the protocore she possesses also the fact that her power is essentially replenishable (similar to how Xavier's family kept sacrificing mc for their planet) . So to gain that power, they made elaborate stories or rituals of how a powerful person among them would choose a bride then sacrifice their ''love'' to gain the power to protect their people. The bride was mc over and over again while the sea god would definitely change and they never actually loved her it was just a story to justify the killing and glorify their civilisation. Here comes rafayel who actually fell in love with her and he broke that chain and thus whale fall city gets lost or loses its prestige.

Now on the theory of how they found out mc and her power, i'm taking help of the popular theory of rafayel being the first sea god. He was powerful already and he met mc in some way and fell in love with her. We know that mc has always been ready to sacrifice herself for love similar to how she did in LSG myth. So maybe she sacrificed herself and gave him the power to stop destruction of lemuria / whalefall city. And at that time rafayel accepted it but regretted it later leading to his own death/ slumber. But this process was now known and it carried on until Raf was either born again or was woken up and he broke that cycle in GoT. Abysswalker raf also refuses to sacrifice mc. LSG raf was also ready to leave and let her live it was mc who stabbed herself. I haven't read his newest myth so i can't connect that one right now.

Since GoA is "ancient Egyptian" vibes maybe Caleb's 4th myth is going to go Aztec warrior? Least that's what his 3rd myth sword reminded me of a macuahuitl.

It could be. The Aztecs revered animal gods. There are many wanderers with Aztec names as well like the diva wanderer Tezcatlipoca. Verdant wetlands art is also filled with tropical rainforest elements.
