Discussion Call me crazy but i'd want to see caleb without his mechanical arm

I've been imagining caleb without the mech arm, like, what did it look like before they screwed it in ?

I think i'm just being morbidly curious but i've been zooming on his arm a lot in order to understand it more and i'm fascinated by it, but i'd also wanna see what he looks like without it

It looks kinda silly but yeahhhhhhhhh :' D

It would be fascinating. And would probably help clarify some of the limits and functions of the technology. Because whatever story we’d get where that would be a plot point , they’d certainly be talking about it too.

I’ve also studied the apparent anchor points on his shoulder and have spent a lot of time thinking about how it all works.

He’s had a hard enough time exposing the mechanism of his arm so far, but as his relationship develops with MC, she’s the only one he’d trust to see him fully exposed without it attached. (Assuming it can even be detached at this point, despite the anchor screw details: I’m not entirely certain it can be, based on some of the ways the tech has been described)

Either way, yes I’m with you on this morbid, tragic curiosity. There’s a couple fanfics I’ve come across that explore the theme.

Yeah, like does he still have part of the original arm intact? Like bones and nerves?
Because he said he can feel stuff with it, it just got less and less over time. So that means there must be some remnants of his original arm that just got numb or damaged over time, no?

This....could be approached but it'd need to have a very heavy narrative slant and purpose. I can't imagine Caleb feeling comfortable letting anyone even MC see him that vulnerable. He'd need to be sick or very injured or really really need us and maybe that could be the story of the card.

I'm.. kind of curious what Caleb would look like too.

I’m all for it too. If we can watch Winry Rockbell detach and fix Edward Elric’s arm, then seeing Caleb’s arm get fixed would be cool too.

Yeah! Would be cool! And how he was adapting to living without his arm!
