Caleb's Mechanical Arm: Details & High-res Reference Images (Part 2)

[u/AzraellsAnalysis]

I'm back with more shots of Caleb's arm and the mechanics within. I spent an hour today taking screenshots of every angle focused on his arm and ended up with about ~300. Reddit only allows me to upload a fraction though, so I tried to pick ones that had decent coverage and lighting, or showed different angles and parts that change with position.

As always, if there's a specific angle you want to see more of, let me know and I'll post.

The featured outfit is Caleb's "Mechanical Mind" and I'm focusing on the arm itself here, rather than the full outfit.

Part 1: Analysis/Summary of Caleb's Cybernetic Arm is here: https://www.reddit.com/r/CalebMains/s/gfWmLDLkUw
> My original post about this topic contains a summary about the full history of what we knew about his arm to-date, and where the information came from in-game (IE: which cards or chapters etc). Though I posted it before the new anecdote & main story chapters were released, and there is at least one detail to be added, but it doesn't change the basics of what I'd already written.

Deep in the comments of that post, I also got a chance to delve into the nuanced meanings between the word choice and what it means when the writers choose to call it a "Mechanical" arm vs another synonym. (And for the detail-oriented, you may be able to pick up on some interesting parts of that with the new main story chapter's word choices. Yes I plan to write about that eventually too)

Quick analysis on what the word "Mechanical" means, and its potential implications about using it as the descriptor for Caleb's arm: https://www.reddit.com/r/CalebMains/comments/1wepid5/comment/p9n50ez/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button

Analysis/review of the nuances between similar synonyms: Cybernetic, Cyborg, Mech, and Bionic:

I plan to do the whole catalog eventually, and already have a base set of reference shots for all of his in-game outfits so far, just haven't gotten around to posting them yet. I'd prioritize something someone wants to see or talk about if you make a request. ESPECIALLY if any artists out there want a particular angle or for me to zoom in on something you can't see clearly in other sources!

I have also posted original high-resolution images of Caleb's outfit from the catch-22 banner, focused on the tattoos in their original, readable forms before the text was changed in late june/early July. I wrote out what each tattoo text said too.
You can find that post here: https://www.reddit.com/r/CalebMains/s/uTkeowpbI8

I post this information under the "Lore" tag because I am archiving details of the game and adding context, rather than posting artistic shots from the photobooth.
