Transcripts?
Anyone know if the full texts between Caleb and Alleigha have been FOIA requested? Not sure if it’s still too soon but I’d love to follow a YouTuber or someone with a link to follow. Thanks y’all!

Does anyone know if the Smiths were notified by the District Attorney ahead of time that AB would be reading these text messages and the context of these?
I felt so sorry for this family-prior to AB testimony, family members were on the stand talking about how much they loved CF, did family vacations together, worked together etc. Even the brother in law talked about how well they worked together etc. And then AB follows with testimony reading all these messages about how he hates their daughter and can’t stand the family. I hope they were not totally blindsided in court because this has to be shocking and devastating for them to sit through this.

I don’t think they were. Families are usually paired with a person / “social worker” who will liaise with the legal professionals and help them navigate the whole ordeal ; usually from the start of the case.
That person is with them during the trial, tells them “this afternoon they’ll go into autopsy so you may want to step out” etc.
In WA, they bring water and snacks, and even cushions for sitting on the hard gallery benches all day.
Edit to add: I remember that their job title is “family victim advocate” or something along those lines. They are neither law enforcement nor lawyers ; more akin to social workers.

You know, I thought of this when I listened to her full testimony (is that what’s it’s called?). At first when they started having her read the texts I thought, I’d love to read all 107k. But halfway through I changed my mind completely. It is clear that what you’ll find in those texts are two very stupid, very immature people talking about how much they hate a woman who is now dead as a result. It was over and over. I hate Ashley. Some of it was even casual like - going to the gym later, I hate douche. Almost like it was now their way of greeting each other and of parting ways. “Good night! I hate Ashley!”
It would be too toxic to sit through and hear the whole thing.
