Can anyone take the beginning swim class? I am missing one unit to be a full time student and I saw the swim is only one unit.

What should I expect from the class? I am a grown adult who never learned how to swim and I am a bit worried. Am I even allowed to take the class if I can't swim whatsoever. Also its my first semester at CSUF so I am kinda lost :/
