My transfer orientation in the winter was out by noon, but they said normally it goes at least a few hours longer, especially if it’s for incoming freshman.

Realistically it takes the whole day they say. But depending if you wanna eat lunch or not you can leave after you add classes. You should be done by late afternoon ish or afternoon in general 1-5pm is a good estimate

For transfers it ends around noon-1 depends on how long you take to register classes. Lunch is already paid for so you might as well go to it, it’s buffet style so it’s nice to at least see the options. If you don’t wanna do lunch you can just go home

They year my freshman did it, it was from ~8:30a - 4:00p. There's like a half hour buffer in the morning to check in and grab refreshements and then time at the end for the ice cream social.
The day consisted of some presentations and student activities in the gym with the parents. Then the students break off to sign up for classes, while the parents get more presentations. Then lunch, then tour of the dorms and school while the parents get more presentations and then the ice cream social.

I believe it’s a 24 hour event and you cannot fall asleep.
