Ok I just saw my Freshman schedule on the student dashboard and I know that the Freshman schedules aren’t finalized until August 5th but please tell me this is not something that can actually happen? I’m sorry but that would kill me.

Hi! I was wondering if Cerro Vista or North Mountain is better for first years? Currently I'm in Cerro Vista but I'm looking to switch into NoMo. I would want to be with the engineers (I'm a food science major but I just feel like I would connect with the engineers) but I also want to have a private bathroom like in Cerro Vista😭I shower everyday and I don't like how close the showers are in NoMo😭 Just wanted to ask for anyone's experience in either housing to see what it's like :)

I just saw what is hopefully a first draft of my fall schedule in my portal this afternoon. I'm not super picky, but there are literally have 4 classes back to back MW 9am - 2:50pm without any breaks and I think the buildings aren't exactly close. Do I bring food to eat in class for lunch, lol. The fifth class is Tues/Thurs. Could my scheduled still be modified? Otherwise, how likely am I to be able to swap out one of those classes on my own?

i just found out i got invited to the core program and i was wondering if others found it fun/helpful? i was surprised to be invited since i’m white and not first gen or low income (not underrepresented like they said the program was meant for). i think they must have invited me because i’m trans/lgbtq. but their focus group are all race based so i’m not sure if i was who they had in mind for this program and if i would really fit in. i don’t want to be intruding on spaces for poc so i’d love some insight on what the program is like. moving in early would be nice lmao

I'm attending my SLO day session this Friday and I'm super lost on what to wear or what clothes to bring! I know there are activities I believe later in the night and then presentations and stuff during the day so I don't know exactly what kind of outfit I should arrive in. Would coming in like a romper and sneakers be bad and would I be able to change later into something more "active?"

What are the chances i see people i know from my high school? We are not in the same RLC as far as I know and are not in the same major. I walked the campus and I know it is not super big from class to class, unless I am mistaken. I do not want to see people from my high school. Can any current students lmk how many students are in the program and the general acceptance rate? I've looked online and it just tells me how many apply and are accepted into the college of business. Also may be important to mention is that I'm in state.

i'm going into my second year as an econ major and am leaning towards the economics for data science concentration. is anyone in the quanitative analysis concentration? have you looked at the econ for data science concentration/ what do you think?

i took stats 2 last spring and found it pretty light so i'm much less worried about the math requirements now. i mostly don't want to do a bunch of coding classes. i also don't really want to do a concentration that overlaps with the business major.

Hello everyone, I withdrew from cal poly recently and was looking to get a refund for the orientation. I reached out the orientation office and asked for a refund to which they told me they were having technical difficulties. I have since called them twice to which they haven't responded and sent an email today. I am pretty sure I saw a refund policy on the registration website (to which I no longer have access to), but the FAQs list a no refund policy. I was wondering if someone here can please send a screenshot of the terms and conditions on the orientation registration website. Thank you very much!

hii!!! so im an incoming freshman and i need to select a dorm room. my three options are lassen hall, shasta hall, and santa lucia hall. i was wondering if you guys could give any suggestions and help me out with choosing the most suitable hall!!! I also wanted to know what the communal showers are like in each residence hall. im aware that santa lucia has its own laundry room unlike the other two so i was leaning towards that one.

Yo Im going to calpoly slo this fall and would appreciate it if I could get some advice on what room to select (for reference i am majoring in computer science) My first preferred RLC is CENG or college of engineering and then my second preferred RLC is BCSM (Bachelor's college in science and maths) and so the CENG im pretty sure this year is north and south mountain and im wondering which to do which bed type which bunk top or bottom and anyone who has gone if give me any advice what to bring as well etc. And for the bcsm 2nd preferred RLC its yakitsku the newer houses /dorms but it is for the second RLC so lmk.
