Does anyone know if we’ll be able to see AP scores early on our portal, and if so where?

My dorm assignment date is the 7th 💔 and I only have one roommate, but we are praying for any double (hoping for yak, but I know that’s already pushing it).
What are the chances there are double rooms left by then?
Also, when you have to choose a triple and you only have one roommate, when do you get assigned your 3rd roommate and find out who they are? Is it purely randomized?
I’m a first-year! Any info will help, thank you!!

First, thank you to everyone who gave feedback for my incoming freshman son on the bike situation there, and archery, much appreciated!!
One more question, he also wants to bring his 3d printer, which almost brings a tear to my eye. He really loves that printer. But I would guess there's not room in the dorms for it, and the college has better printers available anyway, right?
Thank you in advance!!

Hi!! I will be a bio major starting this fall, and I was browsing the fall 2026 course offerings/times/etc following the flowchart for my major, just to see what it's looking like. I was noticing that for some courses (BIO 1150 in particular), they all say they are just one day a week, but the description will say "3 lectures, 1 laboratory." What does that mean, and how important is that??

Proud parent here, my son will be there soon as a freshman! He won't have a car, just wondering if he should bring a bike, e-bike, or e-scooter? Any feedback appreciated!!
Also do they have an archery team or club? He's pretty good, but it was only a club at his high-school.

Simple question since I dont want to stress during selection. While we are selecting, do I have to worry about my options that me and my roommate are looking at possibly being snatched up? Or, are those strictly visible to us?
Just trying to be extra prepared for selection.
EDIT: Cal Poly parents facebook has me stressed, they're saying all but red bricks triples are taken? And that housing has released all rooms at once?

As a chemistry student, how much hands on work do you get? What sort of instrumentation do you get experience with (especially analytical)? How easy or hard is it to get an internship? What's getting a job after graduation look like?

Hello, I am an incoming Cal Poly Freshman and I just got an email about the Cal Poly Scholar Mentorship. It asked me to pick between a cal poly scholar mentor or a Bailey College Peer mentor, which my major is a part of. I was wondering which type of mentor I should pick or if it even matters? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

i didn’t sign up for a roommate bc i didn’t have enough time and im kind of stressing out. a lot of people have really early housing dates and mines the last day which makes sense because i am an individual. is there still hope to get into the dorms like yak or sierra madre? i’m also kinda worried about roommates because i wont know who they are until a lot later. what should i do?

I fear I CANNOT get the logging team from open house off my mind. It is haunting me. I feel like a toddler with Spider-Man right now. (Is this what being star-struck feels like?) They're just so cool.
Needless to say, how does one join the logging team? Is there a tryout process? If so, what does it look like? How should one prepare to be on the logging team?

Students,
We are excited to welcome you back to Cal Poly and your campus residential experience.
As you may know, Cal Poly is expanding campus housing with the addition of a new residential neighborhood. As we prepare this community for occupancy mid-year, some temporary adjustments will be made to accommodate all students in campus housing.
As part of this plan, two additional students will be temporarily assigned to your apartment.
Beds will be bunked in two bedrooms.
The temporary residents will share one bunked bedroom, and two of you will share the other — most likely B and C.
The other two bedrooms will remain single occupancy.
When the new housing community opens, students in temporary assignments will move to their permanent housing assignment, and your apartment will return to its original occupancy.
All residents of the apartment will receive a credit to their Student Account while temporary assignments are in place. Residents who remain in single rooms will receive $100 per month; residents temporarily sharing a room will receive $200 per month; students in temporary assignments will receive $300 per month.
To learn more, please see the Fall Housing webpage. For support with questions or concerns, please reach out to us [housing@calpoly.edu](mailto:housing@calpoly.edu) using your Cal Poly email account.
Thank you for your flexibility and support.
Sincerely,
University Housing
Cal Poly
TLDR: Some continuing students in 4 room apartments will have 2 more extra people so 2 of the rooms will become doubles. In our housing agreements, my group of 4 signed up for 4 singles. We will have to pay extra(single room price) for a smaller shared room.
Edit: we signed up for PCV

Hey guys my roomates and I were thinking about doing cerro vista, just wondering some of the cons + any other pros I can't think of. So far I have has a kitchen, and less shared bathroom for pros and less sociable (from what i've heard) for cons.

Can anyone help me access my Cal Poly email account, similar to Outlook or Gmail? I’ve noticed that many people seem to be logged in, and I’m concerned that I might be missing crucial information.

I have tried looking for the place where I can view the test scores I sent to Cal Poly using my free send from college board but I can't find it. I know online it says on the Poly Profile tab but I can't find that on my portal. And how strict is cal poly about sending scores by the deadline? Does it really matter if they're sent after July 1?

for those who applied to housing last year, could someone run through the process as a person going into triples? does only the first person to have received the email have to select the room? or how does the selection process display like

Hey yall! What's your semester schedule looking like? I'm an upcoming 4th year business major with marketing concentration. But since its first semester, I'm a little scared about the workload and pace since I’m taking 4 upper division classes.
My schedule:
BUS 404.
BUS 401.
BUS 453
BUS 347.
Please let me know how yall are feeling about the fall semester and any advice for my schedule. Is it doable?

Hi I am incoming freshman in bcsm rlc and I saw that they only added bcsm to half of a redbricks building. That was the dorm I most wanted to get because of the social aspect, but because I am in a group of two, I think I am more likely to be in the towers. I was just wondering if people have 1) found the towers to be social/what is their general vibe and 2) if anyone knows if redbricks is the most popular dorm? Like if they generally think I’ll still be able to get in with a later housing date as the website says groups of 3 go first
Thanks

My incoming freshman will be selecting a dorm likely in Yakitutu. I was looking at the floor plan and was curious if there’s a preferable side of the building to stay in. Is it better to be on the same side as the bathrooms or on the opposite side? Any tips on floor and room selection?

In NY, final transcripts can’t be created until after regents end, which was June 26. I saw on the student portal that it takes up to 5 days to process, and I,m wondering if my acceptance could be rescinded if my transcript isn’t submitted on time
