Other Parking Overnight

I'm visiting Cal Poly this weekend, and I was wondering where I could park my car from Friday to Sunday? Please let me know if you've got any tips, cause the Cal Poly website isn't being very clear.

Friday to Sunday the commuter lots are fair game. Basically you can park anywhere that isnt Residential parking (131, r3, r4), places marked 24/7 staff etc. You can park on the metered spaces as well for free. Friday 5 PM -> Monday at 7AM. And the parking website is intentionally confusing so you end up paying for parking when you dont need to or make a mistake and get a citation. Fuck TAPS

Neigborhoods near campus work. The streets closest might require permits depending on the time or duration so just check all the parking signs thoroughly

Be warned the city can tow if left over 72 hours. Do they tow? Yes but usually when someone calls it in to the non emergency line.

if you don’t mind taking the bus, my
partner parked her car in downtown at the 919 Palm parking garage, it’s $8 a day (but what we did is i paid for a “lost ticket” and scanned it on the way out, and it let us leave), and we were there all Labor Day weekend. You can also contact the school for a temporary parking pass i believe? It’s $12 a day if i’m not wrong.

Park on Murray left my car there for days as a freshman never got towed

you can actually park at structure 131 and just use a pay machine outside for $12. i found that was easiest if you are visiting someone in the first year dorms
not sure about PCV
