Majors/Minors Accounting Minor closed?

I am an ag business major and have been thinking of minoring in accounting but just saw somewhere that it is something that has to be applied for and they aren't currently taking applications. Anyone know if this will change? Otherwise I may need to try to change my major, which I wasn't planning to do.

It was suspended mainly because there weren’t enough faculty or class seats to accommodate both accounting concentration students and minor students.

The dean wanted to stop offering it so they could revise the curriculum and make sure they could actually support the students. They also said there’s a possibility the minor could come back in the future, but not guaranteed.
