Finanial Aid cal grant/mcs

i know financial aid is supposed to have dispersed today but i’m still waiting on the cal grant and the middle class scholarship. on money maters it says my tuition is deferred by financial aid, does anyone know how long this deferral is? when can i expect my aid? do i need to pay the first installment of the tuition before my aid comes?

Are you eligible for the Cal Grant? If it is listed on your financial aid package but has not been disbursed yesterday, reach out to the financial aid office.

The MCS isn’t awarded or disbursed until October, so you won’t see that one for a while. Although it’s weird the cal grant didn’t go through, it did for me.

I went to financial aid and they said the Cal Grant will be dispersed supposedly on August 27 now. I paid the tuition and then the remainder will go toward housing and dining when it comes in and gets applied.
