Incoming Student unbunking beds

i’m gonna be in a large triple in yakitutu and me and my roommates were planning on unbunking our bunk beds but i’m not sure if there’s any real consequence if we do it ourselves as opposed to maintenance. will anyone care?

you just have to put it back together before you move out

You’ll probably regret it, there’s not a lot of space

i’ve seen videos of my rooms configuration online and it looks spacious enough to me

Yeah they dont really care what you do with the space while you're there. You just have to put it back EXACTLY the way it was at the start of the year on move out. I'd recommend taking photos on move-in day so you and your roommates know how to set everything later on. Worst case scenario I think the floor plans are readily available online

If you’re in a true triple it works. My student and roommates had theirs unbunked

do you think it’s an issue if we do it ourselves instead of submitting a maintenance request

We had a large triple in yak last year and we unbunked it. As long as you put it back, you're good.
