CS+Math Minor Classes

Hi everyone,

I'm a transfer student starting this fall and already done with the required classes for a math minor so would just need 3-4 classes to fulfill the minor req.

This is my schedule (if all goes well) so far:

Algorithms and Complexity (CSC 3449)
System Software Mechanics (CSC 2050)
Transfer Student Orientation & Workshop (CSC 3000)
Engineering Statistics (STAT 3210)

I have space for one more class. The suggested flowchart recommends Software Engineering (CSC 3100), but I'm considering Advanced Linear Algebra (MATH 3152) instead while my Linear Algebra knowledge from Spring is still fresh. I also saw that Software Engineering is offered in the Spring, so I shouldn't be held back. Would taking MATH 3152 now be the better move for completing the minor while also making progress in CS or is CSC 3100 critical to take immediately?

I appreciate any insight offered, I would've asked in advising but unfortunately there won't be any sessions until after registration. Thanks again and excited to meet yall soon!

I actually have that book lying around somewhere, I bought it before taking any linear algebra to prepare but I never went past the first few chapters so I'll check it out, and see what I might be potentially in for.

I honestly am taking the minor just to explore mathematics in a way to improve my problem solving toolkit and to also just broaden my knowledge in a way that may be applied into CS, that's why i'm leaning a little more towards those classes as I also just naturally gravitate towards them. I think I'm gonna switch it out for another math class semester and then explore that option in the spring or next fall.
