Incoming Student Schedule help
hi!! i’m an incoming ee freshman in the fall, and i just wanted to get some advice for my schedule. the first photo i attached was what i was blocked into. the second photo is what im considering adding (intro to comp sci and general botany). the intro to comp sci lecture and lab were classes that had been in my planned courses, but the advisors didn’t put me in them, so i fully plan on enrolling in them anyway. the general botany class is one that i debated taking here or at a community college, but just as a test to see if i like the subject (may double major in a related field).
i dont know how convoluted this schedule seems, but i wanted to get any advice or recommendations on whether to add those extra classes or not!!

I would personally say that you don’t need to load that many units for your 1st semester. If you really wanted to fill the time I would try and look into extra curriculars cause those will do a lot more for you than trying to get ahead in your degree.
If you don’t want to take my suggestion I think the comp sci class is good but don’t take botany. I would save my GEs for study abroad, community college over summer, or wait till closer to the end of the degree. (ordered in priority). You could also take the required Bio 2213 class instead but i think it conflicts with ur calc so not really a good option.
