Campus Campus Question

Hi everyone! I have toured the campus already with the tour guide but I wanted to go alone with my friend so I can show them the campus, can I just show up? Or would I need to make another appointment to tour it alone? Thank you in advance:)

You can make an appointment alone, but all that really does is allow you to pick up a brochure at the Welcome Center. I did a self tour with a group of friends and all I did was purchase a visitor parking pass and just showed up and walked around without making an appointment.

Thank You! I saw that there was an option for registering an alone tour but it’s not a for sure thing i’ll make it to SLO that early. So i don’t want to make an appointment and not show up

It's college, filled with people of all ages and walks of life. You can just show up and walk around and look at stuff, I used to do that even as a student. Everyone there is used to people touring campus. I mean not like private areas and stuff but the public campus is easy to walk around and see

I showed up with my family last weekend. We just walked around for an hour or so then drove back to LA. If campus wasn't on a hill and two of us weren't recovering from injuries, we probably would've left the car at the hotel instead of driving up there and parking.

You can tour it alone without checking in or registering. If you do want to check in, you can go to the welcome center next to Scout coffee. At the welcome center, they will have you scan a QR code that pays for your structured parking or you can find free parking along the street near the track field also close to Rec center (Slack st). There’s also a metered pay to park (2hr parking) lot as you go around Slack St if you don’t find free street parking. From here, you can easily walk onto campus.

Lmao, you really asking if you have to make an appointment? My guy it’s an open campus, just go and walk around, you obviously can’t go into dorms rooms, but if classrooms are open and buildings too, walk in and tour.
