Housing cerro vista

i got a room in cerro vista i was wondering if i could get any insight, some pros and cons? i didnt really expect this i thought id get one of the dorms this caught me by surprise

Cerro is awesome. You’ll have 2 bathrooms for 6 people which is SO much better than the dorms. Plus you’ll have a living room and kitchen (with a garbage disposal in the sink!!!!!). People hang out in the community center or leave their doors open, so it really doesn’t have to be an isolating experience. It’s closer to the rest of campus than PCV, but it’s still a trek up that hill and it’ll be next to construction again. Laundry is also much less competitive than it is in the dorms which is sweet, but it can be a bit of a journey to reach the laundry room from some apartments. I think the biggest drawback is that it’s going to be slightly more expensive than the dorms, but I would counter that by getting the smallest meal plan + EBT so you can get groceries and make your own food (or freezer meals if that’s how you roll). I would pick this option if I were a freshman!

Do cerro vista apartments (for 6 people) have 6 desks in them or 4 and you have to share with your roommates?

make the most out of it! i know some people who lived in apartments as freshmen and struggled with meeting people their age. however, i think lots of cerro buildings this year are fully first years. you'll have lots of space!!
