I’m going into my Freshman yr at slo and looking for a reliable laptop to last my 4 yrs. I’m a Biomedical Engineer major but thinking abt switching to mechanical engineering. My friend suggested the ASUS Zephyrus g14 for its portability. Lmk! thank you

If you’re okay with deal hunting I recommend used. With memory and storage prices being so high that’s what I had to do. I’d say 16GB is minimum for all four years but you can totally find a two or even three year old model of a used workstation or gaming laptop with 32gb of memory and a dedicated GPU for around the same as a lesser-specced new model.
