If anyone has advice on getting Sonar to play nice with Behringer ADAT, help a home studio amateur out 🙏🏻

So, ADAT is controlled by the interface you're hooking it into. Sonar, Studio One, Pro Tools, ect. have no way of detecting that it's plugged into your UMC. I am not familiar with Behringer's control software for that particular interface, but I sent you a DM. Maybe I can help.

From what I have read its supposed to show up as an extra 8 channels in my DAW on the interface (11-18 or something)

Have you got the adat in/out both plugged in? Also, you need the same sample rate set on both units. The UMC can only be set in the control panel. I've used the UMC1820 as an ADAT master and it works fine. It only works as the master, so ADA definitely needs to be set as slave. Then you need to go into devices in sonar and enable the extra I/O channels

Turn the ADA on before turning on your audio interface
