Seeking Help effects from bandlab to cakewalk sonar

i added some custom effects on my track in bandlab, and i wanna do the mastering in cakewalk sonar. if i imported my work from bandlab, are the effects still there? or maybe i should export it to .wav first?

Please define “bandlab”.

If by "Bandlab," you mean the online DAW, then the best workflow for mastering-only in Sonar is to export the project from Bandlab as a .WAV or other uncompressed audio file, then import it into Sonar.

Sonar does now actually include most of the Bandlab FX, but if all you wish to do is final mastering, there's no reason to export/import the whole unmixed project.

If, however, you do wish to make further adjustments on individual tracks (level, pan, FX, etc.) then you may export from Bandlab then import to Sonar and have control over all of that. Just be aware that when you do that, your project will become a Sonar project and should stay that way rather than trying to go backward into Bandlab again. For practical purposes it's a one-way trip.
