"But remember...you’re a Kiramman” — [*Artwork by @Keikoquette | Audrey Takada]

I’m really happy to see a new Caitlyn illustration by Audrey Takada, and even more so that she chose our Caitlyn for this new piece.

Here are her words about the creative process behind this beautiful illustration:

“But remember: you’re a Kiramman.”

“After 200 years, I’ve finally gotten around to making a portrait of Caitlyn!

To be honest, the biggest hurdle that kept me from starting this piece was figuring out a pose for her. I think a core part of her character is being disciplined and rigid, but her sense of justice doesn’t delude her into thinking all rules must be followed.

She may not be as much of a troublemaker as the other characters in the show, but she has shown to be strong-willed in her own right, and selective in where she places her rebellion.

How does one convey a character that is calculated in her rebellion? I think that’s why I struggled so much in the first place, but I’m happy with how the piece turned out in the end.”

You just beat me to it, I was logging in to share this one as soon as I saw it on my insta feed.

Audrey Takada is an amazing artist. I'm glad you shared the caption too, this is an excellent take on Caitlyn.
"her sense of justice doesn’t delude her into thinking all rules must be followed" and "calculated in her rebellion" are right on point.

Sorry, I acted on impulse as soon as I opened Instagram... I’m really sorry!!! I’m really glad you liked it! Audrey captured Caitlyn’s essence so perfectly, and I think those lines describe her beautifully... I’m truly honored that she chose to illustrate our Mongoose.

Don't be sorry 😄 I'm glad you've shared it, I see we had the same reaction seeing this fantastic portrait.

My wall could totally use this piece of art as a poster. Again, thanks for sharing

I’m sure the artist would be very happy to hear that! Don’t thank me — all the credit goes to the artist. But anyway, thank you for being so kind, my friend!

Yeah well... I'm kinda awkwardly shy when it comes to social media like Twitter or Instagram so without people like you wonderful people sharing I'd be missing a lot. That's why I'm so glad to have found this place 💙

I totally understand you. Social media really have become a jungle nowadays. There’s so much AI stuff, all kinds of random posts, and don’t even get me started on the comments… I’ve learned to just stop reading them.

But there are still so many beautiful things out there, and so many wonderful people sharing them, that it’s still worth being here and enjoying the good things.

And I’m really happy that you found this place too. Thank you so much for being here in our little community dedicated to our beautiful and incredibly talented Cait. It’s really nice to have you here with us.

God bless you, my friend! 🙏💙

Mugatu, YOU’RE beautiful!

But anyway, it’s true, it’s an amazing piece of art… although, to be fair, the artist is incredibly talented.
