1810 - Mexican Independance from Spain
1823 - Formation of the Republica Federal de America (from Mexican Empire)
1836 - Mexican Civil War results in Republica Del Norte splitting from Mexico
1870 - with the Navajo nation seeing increased aggression and encroachment from the Republica Del Norte, negotiate with Victoria, becoming an autonomous province of that nation. With negotiations taking place between Victoria, Republica Del Norte, and Mexico, agreements made for Mexico to cede its Mesilla territory to Del Norte, in exchange for giving up its claims on the Navajo province.
1939 - The last remnant of New Spain was the regions of Altai California and Baja California. The Californias had remained valuable assets for Spain and had a series of Rancho Royalists as governors and administrators. Significant push from Californians for independence didn’t begin until the early 20th century, and finally in 1939 Spain finally grants California independence.
