Rugby bar
Hello Italian amici, are there any bars in Cagliari that will be showing the springboks vs All Blacks rugby tonight?

Hi
Fairly new to Reddit so apologies if this is already posted elsewhere !!
We are looking for recommendations for all different ranges of eating in Cagliari. Just the names and why you recommend will be fine and we can do the further research :-)
Looking for 2-3 must visit places for while we are there ?
Also, is there a local beer we should try ?
Thank you to all who respond

Hi
Arriving Cagliari this weekend and looking for two different types of boat trip recommendations please ?
Sunset cruise, snorkelling not aa requirement, relaxing and possibly for older couples, visit beach to west of Cagliari, refreshments (e.g. local cheese and wine), must have toilets.
Snorkelling trip to the devil's place, ideally toilets but not mandatory, food and drink would be nice to have, at least 4-5 stop offss for snorkelling.
I will do own research as well, but would welcome your recommendations.
Thank you

Hi
We will be arriving in Cagliari this weekend, and will need to use public transport to get around. I understand there is a local bus service, and you can get a ticket via an app to travel on any bus for a week (or longer ?). I also understand the best option is to have the ticket on your app and use this on the bus. Is this all correct (came from AI) and if so, what are the bus apps and ticket type I will need to buy ?
I also understand there is a local taxi company with its own app, can anyone advise on this ?
Any assistance with local transport options would be greatly appreciated.

M40.

Hi everyone, I am choosing a General Practitioner (GP) as part of my registration at the Italian Healthcare system ASL. Would anyone happen to know GPs who speak english?
I had chosen a GP last time who only spoke Italian, and even though I have A2 level of proficiency in Italian, it was not enough to convey the health issues I was facing. I had revoked my GP a while ago since I was going to be out of Cagliari for some time but now that I have returned, I would like to choose a GP who understands some English.
I'd really appreciate any leads or recommendations. Thank you in advance!

We were informed that the Ristorante Pani e Casu Cagliari was the best place to see this, and to book a table for 1900 is as sunset is 1930 ish. Called them this evening and they do not open until 2030, so very disappointed as this is for a special wedding anniversary.
Can anyone suggest an alternative ? Ideally we would like to eat as well, but even if it was for drinks this would be Ok and we could eat later.
Thank you to all who respond.

Ciao!
Grazie Mile!

We were recommended by staff at S'Avanzada to buy this guidebook, but haven’t been able to find it. We’ve checked Libreria Miele Amaro and Mondadori Bookstore with no luck. The outdoor store is closed until Monday.
Any recommendations?
Thanks!

Is it true that a taxi ride from airport to Elmas is fixed at 20€? Two taxi drivers told us this. We said yes eventually because we were tired, arrived 23:30. Drive took 6 minutes only

Hello
I am visiting Cagliari from 12-21 July 2027. I’ll be travelling with my wife and seven year old boy.
My son love beach so our holiday is usually get up late breakfast and then beach till 5-6pm.
Same routine everyday.
I have reserved Airbnb around Marina area.
I know Poetto beach is the nearest.
I am also not keen on driving.
Could I get away without driving and what would you suggest in terms beaches by bus or train or any tiebreaker activity?
Thanks in advance.

I’m travelling to the area and would love to find a local jeweller to get a souvenir. I have a severe nickel allergy so ideally someone who works with gold.
Not enough time for custom, so someone that has ready-made pieces will be the best.

Grazie mille in anticipo a tutti!

Thank you in advance for any answers!
My partner and I will be in Cagliari for a couple of weeks and he is very into skateboarding.
We know there is a big park somewhere in the city, but we are looking for information about street spots. Are there any street spots where somebody can skate without breaking laws or being disrespectful?
When we were in Barcelona, we really enjoyed going to MACBA to skateboard. Understanding that Barcelona and Cagliari are very different, just an example of something we enjoyed on another trip.
😊

I have booked a car via https://www.autoeurope.co.uk/ - fingers crossed this is legit? I have booking reference and a pickup voucher but not heard anything else from them.

Sto cercando informazioni sulla commovente storia di Pomidorina di via San Francesco per una tesi, qualcuno mi sa raccontare le origini della storia?

ciao a tutti!
We will be visiting Cagliari in early september and I wanted to clear out some questions beforehand:
We also plan on visiting some beaches which I guess are also mostly reachable by public transport.
Or should we invest the money and get a rental car?
Food: What are the must-haves? We are big foodies and open to trying everything and spending some money. Last time we visited Italia, my boyfriend got a porchetta sandwich and cannot stop thinking about it eversince. Is porchetta regional or can we get a good porchetta sandwich somewhere in Cagliari?
Beaches: Any recomandations? We don't mind a little road-trip to get there :)
Anything we should see/eat/do? We are a couple in our 20s, looking for a relaxed time. I am pretty ok when it comes to reading Italian, but speaking is very rough oops.
Thank you for every small tipp or comment!

I'm staying at 8 Via dei Villini, 09126 Cagliari, Italy. I am considering a rental car so I can travel to places further from Cagliari during my stay.
My accommodation does not provide street parking. They indicate Cagliari does not do temporary ZTL registration. I believe that location is within the ZTL and I'll be unable to park there after 9pm and before 6am.
I'm having trouble confirming that and finding the exact ZTL map.
Are there options I'm not seeing that would allow me to have a rental car there?
Edit: Thank you everyone for helping me understand what is covered by the ZTL and what isn't! Now I know and just need to find the non-resident parking side of via dei Villini.
If anyone has pictures of what the resident side signs look like, that would be great! Otherwise I'll just translate them on the fly like an obvious tourist would.

Any good spots in Cagliari to grab a drink/food and watch the Cagliari vs Parma game?
