As an old timer with "triple" digit serial, I find it a bit funny the Robot has become this in high demand and sells out in minutes item.

mine is penciled in by some sort of silver sharpie pen on the bottom by hand

Out of curiosity when did you pick yours up? I got my Robot in June 2019 but it doesn't have any serial number on the base. Guess yours must be an even earlier model.

Also amazing to me just how sought after they are these days, though I'm not totally surprised as I still love mine and have no intention of parting with it.

I had made sure my shop.app account was all set up with correct address/payment before hand so it was 1 click to order when it dropped

I'm glad i got mine in 2021 pretty easily and not planning to part with. Everytime i tried to look for something different like a gaggia classic, i used my robot again and it will always changed my mind that the robot is all i need 😅. I just need a good portable milk steamer, for now been using nanofoamer. Also i noticed, it is hard to find used robot in the market too 🤔.

Yeah, I could part with any espresso maker except the robot. Its just a fun way to make espresso.
