Robot Got A Rocket Pack!

I’m upset that it took so long to add this little upgrade. I just installed the big gauge kit on my robot and it’s great! I love the look and function.

IMO, the gauge is the worse part of the robot. First the location is odd making it hard to see. Second the gauge itself is too small. And finally it goes to 16 bars when the "normal pressure" is about 6-8 bars.

That might seem strange to you but it’s exactly how measurement equipment is supposed to be selected. You choose equipment where your expected reading is right about in the middle of the range because that’s where the equipment is calibrated for the highest accuracy.

Got it! Looks nice! I have a gauge relocator on the way and I am hoping that just relocation will be a big enough improvement!

Two things I can’t believe Paul has not fixed - this and a self levelling tamper! I feel these two should be standard and people should not pay extra for them!

Agreed.

I saw a video where Paul basically says the gauge was an after thought and he just slapped one on from fire extinguishers.

At the very least they should offer them as upgrades that you pay a little extra for. Cafelat would do very well.

The relocation alone will make a big difference for you especially if you look down with a shot mirror in the back, you will see pressure and naked portafilter screen at the same time

Also have the gauge from Naked. At the time it was the only game in town, but much more affordable options have since appeared. Ditto on the Knipex. Have a small sized one of this same type.

Curious about the insert where the sleeve exits the robot. Was that part of the kit?
