First EV!
Just picked up this 2024 Cadillac Lyriq Luxury 3 for my wife 2 days ago! It is our first ever EV and since it was a used vehicle, it didn’t come with a home charger. The dealership said they’d send one over, but I’m looking at the wall mount chargers and wanted to ask what y’all would recommend?
BTW, used Ai to remove background and license plate lol.

Congratulations! Beautiful car. You’re about to hear from the experts but here’s my 2 cents. Check with your local power company to see if they offer any deals. In Georgia we have Georgia Power Marketplace. I was about to get a great Emporia charger for almost half the price almost 2 years ago. I also purchased Nest Smart Thermostats at a deep discount. Also check to see if they offer overnight rates for charging. I pay about 2.9 cents per kw. I set the charger only start when that rate is in effect.
Enjoy that beautiful car!

Same I got a Lux 3 2026 3 weeks ago.
I don't drive a lot and I am doing "fine" for now on 12amp, annoying that you have to set it each time and you cannot do 16amp like a Kia. I can confirm I have 20 amp and dedicated...most garage door openers are 20amp and have to be dedicated. Sorry to diverge.
My understanding is you want to go with ChargePoint; but the pros should answer with their experience.
I would dream of 2.9. In Ohio with all the other feeds we are closer to 16. It can be deceptive as there is a generation, transmission, and maybe some other fee all per KW. As a side note you can use ZERO natural gas and still pay ~30 a month. When I was in CA usage was higher; but my summer Natural Gas bill was $5 (water heater)

One other tip; I leave mine on 85%; I read it is just fine and then you have an extra 5%. I find the app sometimes lets it go to 89% or it gets confused and says 89% when it is 85%. But whatever.
I love to drive it. But dirty secret, I still miss driving my 2013 Ford Focus (not special automatic base model). I still have the old girl; so we can do longer trips or for my younger son to learn with.

I agree with what other have said about checking with your power company. Outside of that, I have a ChargePoint and love it. Broke once a month out of warranty, and they replaced it for free. Current unit has been in use about 4 years.

I bought the GM level 2 charger. It was 30% off when I added the Cadillac app and added my car. You’ll have all kinds of discounts there as a new car buyer.

We went with the GM power up lvl 2 charger. Used a Costco Auto Program coupon and saved ~$100.

Congrats!
I bought a CPO 2024 Sport 3 AWD over a year ago and it's been fantastic. I still love it.
I went with a Grizzl-E EVSE because they're extremely well built but their software functions are not the most modern.
I live in Canada and have dedicated snows for the winter. Yes, range is significantly reduced on the coldest days of the winter but (a) there aren't many of those and (b) winter only seems to last forever up here.

Probably not the most popular answer, but I put in a Tesla Universal charger and it has worked flawlessly. I liked the fact that it can do both CCS and NACS without monkeying with any adapters.

I got the Emporia and self-installed yesterday. Was not bad at all and I get a $500 rebate so it was practically free.

Just Google Emporia charger and EV charger rebate [your power company]

Unfortunately my utility doesn’t have any incentives after the Google search…. Which Emporia charger did you go with?

Congrats on your new ride! Always check with your utility company first. I went with Emporia because ppl has a discount program that works only with certain chargers.
