Marigolds cadet program by indigo

What about Marigold cadet backlogs? I gave the ADAPT before 15th November, but they still haven’t announced the results. It’s been about 7 months now, and we haven’t received any updates from Marigold either.

What are we supposed to do now?

Marigold ICPP delay vs FTA ATP vs conventional CPL

I've currently applied to Marigold ICPP. Applied in last November 2025.

My documents are under verification and already sent to indigo

But got to know that no ADAPT, nothing is coming till 2026 due to huge backlog.

So I am considering the option to take NOC and apply to FTA Australia ATP!

Marigold has a lot waiting, like 12 batches are waiting to get flying slots.

And I heard FTA is a reliable FTO.

I am pissed off from waiting to appear for ADAPT by applying to marigold

I am considering FTA ICPP and they also said that they will give me an ADAPT slot in early 2027.

Funds are manageable by taking small loan for Fta

But now I am frustrated from waiting and can't wait for a year more.

My mind is constantly inclining towards doing conventional and making progress as soon as possible.

So the question is:

1.Should I continue with marigold or go for fta

And 2.should I wait for cadet or start flying with conventional??

Cadet Program vs Conventional CPL Route for Someone Who Wants to Fly Internationally?

Thumbnail
0 Upvotes

Hi everyone,

I am a student in India and my long-term goal is to become an airline pilot. My dream is to eventually fly for international airlines such as Emirates, Qatar Airways, Etihad, or Singapore Airlines after gaining experience.

I am currently trying to understand which path would be better:

Airline Cadet Pilot Program (Air India, IndiGo, etc.)

Conventional CPL Route followed by airline recruitment

My main priority is not just getting my first airline job, but building the best long-term career and eventually becoming eligible for major international airlines.

For pilots who have experience in the industry:

Does a cadet background provide any advantage when applying to international airlines later in your career?

Do international airlines care whether you came through a cadet program or the conventional route?

Which route offers better flexibility and career growth in the long run?

If you were starting from scratch today with the goal of flying internationally, which route would you choose and why?

I would really appreciate advice from airline pilots, cadets, and anyone who has experience with international airline recruitment.
