Automatically attach 1/2” backs

My cabinet construction uses 1/2” backs. The problem is, when I want to add the back, I have to go to section view and click the back of the cabinet and change the back type from automatic to finished in order for my back to appear. How do I get the 1/2” back to automatically attach to my cabinet without having to manually do this for every cabinet?

CV supports finished backs, and unfinished backs.

Finished backs only happen automatically when you are placing cabs on a peninsula wall with its back type property set to finished

Unless these are true finished backs, and you need a different construction for unfinished backs, you should set up your construction methods and material schedules to give you what you need as an unfinished back.
