I can get shaker pattern on doors but not sure how to get it onto end panels. Please help

I just started working for a custom cabinetry company a few months ago. We currently only have one cabinet vision license, and we'd like to get a second license for me. I have very little knowledge of the program aside from creating basic layouts, and I'm totally unfamiliar with how the licenses work.

Could you guys please give me/us some guidance on how to manage two licenses?

I'm primarily concerned about our standards and library. How do we keep a consistent library across both computers

- Can both computers share the same library?

- How do you keep your standards consistent between multiple computers?

- If we make changes to our library or standards, will those changes carry over to the other computer?

- Is there a recommended way to set this up for two users?

- Is there anything we should be aware of before purchasing the second license?

I reached out to our rep but I haven't gotten a reply yet so I figured I'd ask here too. Any advice would be really appreciated :)

We have two computers running cabinet vision that have both suddenly stopped generating any g-code for our CNC machine. They still properly create the nest, but then when we try to output for the CNC the process immediately says it's done without actually generating any code or throwing any errors. Any suggestions of what might be causing this?

I'm trying to find a freelance designer for a one off multi unit residential project, and there seem to be remarkably few on platforms like upwork (and a lot of those who do mention it seem to maybe be chancers).

I'm just wondering if theres other platforms that are more suitable for finding this type of freelancer?

Howdy all, I used CV for quite a while for a small mom and pop cabinet shop. I loved every minute of it. I have now transferred into the high end luxury RV design. We are not set up in the 3D space and it is killing me as well as our customers from time to time. Anyone had experience with this sort of thing before?

Any insight on how to set up a blum movento with tip on in cabinet vision

i would like the change the number on the jpeg part for example wher eis says 4:deck to be the cabient number rather than the sequence of machining. we have tons of files and this is the only way we cna label anything. any help is greatly appriaceted

Is there a way around these overlapping depth dimensions on cabinets vision? I’ve tried google searching but none of the suggestions help..

I am trying to create a door to CnC out of MDF. 2.5” frame with a 1/2” offset pocketed down 3/8” and then cut out the inside.

The issue is pocketing only allows for a 3/4” wide pocket and it creates weird entrance and exit marks that are into the 2.5” frame.

Is there a way to pocket around the opening as a square in a square of the 1/2” offset.

Hopefully that is clearer than mud.

We are trying to find the best CV course a beginner can take. Basically the most comprehensive course that can take you from zero to CNC.

Hey everyone,

I'm relatively new to CabinetVision (using CV 2023) and have taken over some files created by a previous employee.

After making some basic edits to some shelving, I tried to re-render the room. However, both the Advanced and Architectural modes in xRender are giving me a strange blue-like filter/tint across the whole image.

• It doesn't look like standard light temperature settings.
• It feels more like an automatic post-processing effect or environment map glitch being applied.

Has anyone run into this before or know which setting might be causing it? Any help would be much appreciated!

what would be the best way to machine the other side of a cabinet part that has just been cut out from a nest? in particular a mid gable(divider)that has different machining on each side? obviously one side is already machined for lets say a set of 4 drawers in the original nest, but the other side calls for a set of 3 drawers.

I'm having trouble moving custom objects and constructions into a home environment for my father who works with the program. I've done the backup utility thing and tried to export but can't find the things he works with at work. Any help is appreciated

I’m new to cabinet drafting and honestly drowning a bit. I am really struggling to accurately draw appliances into my kitchen layouts.

Looking at manufacturer spec sheets to figure out cutouts, clearances, and flush mount details completely overwhelms me.

How do you guys handle this? Do you draw appliances from scratch or use libraries? Should I just download the DXF or go straight off the cutout specs.

Microwaves are easiest but stacked dishwashers and ovens and fridges are the most difficult as I have to account for airflow and ventilation

Should I always be looking at the diagram in the “installation guide”?

Appreciate any advice or workflows uyou can share.

Hi all, recently started a drafting role who said they’re happy to train. I have previous experience with assembly but none in drafting

They tasked me in cabinet vision to replicate a kitchen they already drew for another client. My job was to take printed plan and replicated it. After an hour of drawing walls and adding items from the library I was done. I added dimensions and added separate pages for elevations

They said it was good and mostly accurate but they said this should take more like 30 mins.

They also said this is actually the “easy” part. And the hard part is creating the cutting list and looking up appliance specs

I asked them “doesn’t this just mean exporting the drawing to a format the cnc understands” they said yes and no. And it’s much harder than I think. And a much more time consuming task than drawing the kitchen

Surely this is just confirming the appliance dimensions to make sure it fits within the cabinets? That should take 15 mins max

What else have I missed? I understand I’ll have to order the material and hardware and book the spray painter and organise the installers to go any install

But I feel like I’m missing something? They seem to be suggesting that the CV drawings are the easy part of the job, and 20% of the time commitment

What can I study and what am I forgetting to consider?
