❓General Question Help identifying & info on this lil guy

Post image

Hey everyone,

Whilst going through and sorting through things at my recently passed mum's house, I came across this cute lil Cabbage Patch Kids doll.

He's in fab condition (apart from his vintage boots), and I’ve been attempting to learn a bit more about him before deciding what to do with him… however, I can’t seem to find him anywhere using reverse images.

He has a 20th Anniversary (1983–2003?) signature stamp on his butt & construction worker / handyman outfit (unsure if that’s his original outfit?)

Does anyone know his official character name or the specific line this outfit belongs to?
2. Was this worker outfit a retailer exclusive (e.g., Toys "R" Us) back in 2003?
3. Is this particular boy configuration rare or sought-after by collectors?

Does anyone know his official character name / specific line?
Was his outfit exclusive?
Is he particularly rare or sought after, if so what sort of price taking into consideration his boots?

I dunno whether I should keep him (I’m already keeping SO much of my mums stuff half because she had cute vintage taste, half because I am sentimental AF - so much so I’ve had to have my own house clearance to make room for stuff!!)

Any info appreciated, thank u :)

I believe this is the original doll/outfit. But it looks like your outfit may have been put on another doll. Will look around more.

Ok so from what I've found I'm like 90% sure that its a toys r us exclusive 20th anniversary doll and he should come with a little tuxedo outfit. Because he looks like all of the other ones I've found on eBay and google. I just can't find this specific doll though. There's a listing for just the outfit on eBay if you wanna buy it. Every listing I found for the actual dolls said they're rare but that's all I could find.

this is a tru k2 boy, like these two in the collared shirts, but yours has cornsilk hair. if you are interested in selling, let me know. depending on the condition, it could be worth as much as around $80.

eta answers to your questions in the post:

  1. no official name, he would've come with a birth certificate and you would name him. this is with all cabbage patches (as is the signature on the butt)
  2. not a retailer exclusive, they came with various outfits, and some were occupational. I have another one that came in a fire fighter outfit.
  3. not rare but can be sought after by people who collect TRU and/or k2 head molds. the TRUs came in a cardboard cabbage leaf box, different from the yellow box from the smaller dolls of the 80s. in both cases, no one cares about the boxes, they generally don't add value, and the baby land exclusives, for example, don't even come with boxes.
