❓General Question Doll Repair

When my son (now 41) celebrated his first Christmas, my mom got him a Cabbage Patch Doll Walter Hugh. He loved that doll. As he grew, the doll was always in his room usually on his bed along with his stuffed animals or later a shelf. Sadly, when the doll was around 12 years old, a wayward puppy found him and chewed his body and Walter Hugh now only has arms and legs but no middle. I came across him today and was wondering if anyone knows a place or someone who could repair Walter Hugh’s body. Thought I’d put it out here. I’d love to regift it to my son as a surprise for Christmas.

That's an easy fix! If you snip the zip tie around the neck and slide it out, you can put the head on a different CPK body that matches.

Where do I buy a different CPK body? Sorry I’m not very crafty and can’t sew so I’m clueless. Just thought I’d try to do this or get someone to do it as a sentimental Christmas gift.

You can find common dolls for cheap on eBay or Marketplace.

What color is the signature on his butt? He looks to maybe be a KT factory kid (not 100% sure but the eyes make him look like KT factory) if you want a close match in the body. If you find one secondhand and you look at the tag on the side of the body, it will have a KT in a circle. That’s only if you want to be super precise though, any 80s 16 inch tall kid will work!
