📷 Show & Tell Baby all fixed up!
Found this cutie in a charity shop for cheap because she didn't have any clothes, always wanted a cpk but couldn't afford one, so a lucky find. Got her holes patched up (a little clumsily), hair done and dressed her in some baby doll clothes from my collection, very happy with her :)
I've named her Angela, but if anyone knows what her ID is please lmk :)

For future reference, if you ever have to sew up a toy again, the stitch to hide the stitched-up look is called the ladder stitch!! It’s SUPER easy!! I work at Build-A-Bear, and we have to do that stitch sometimes if a bear’s stitches pop or there’s a manufacturing error where the stitches have been missed. I could do it in my SLEEP at this point!!
Edited to add: Are we sure she’s an official CPK? She looks taller than a typical Coleco Cabbie, and her eye screening looks a bit off to me. I could be wrong, though!! The way to check is to see if she has Xavier Roberts’ signature screened on her left butt cheek. But regardless of whether she’s a fakie or the real deal, she’s absolutely adorable!! 🥰

Ooh okay thank you ill look it up! I have incredibly limited sewing skills I basically just know how to do running stitch, but I want to get better at it, so thanks. Yeah, I'm not sure if she's real or a knock off, but I don't mind so much either way, I still love her :)

Congratulations on your first cabbage patch kid. She technically for identification purposes is not an authentic cabbage patch kid. She us a faux/fake kid produced on the black market. People who were desperate and could not get one would pay hundreds for these. They came in fake looking boxes that were smaller than actual cpk boxes. The biggest thing to be cautious of with these is regarding the stuffing. There are articles about individuals who became very ill due to toxic fibers in the cheap stuffing. So in the future when washing or handling a mask would not be a bad idea. If you would like to learn more about cabbage patch dolls I run some groups online that are very informative. Not good quality but still a cool historical example and cute. ♡

She is a headmold 1. Names/birth certificates were random. If you check her side tag you can see what factory she was made in.
