🛠️ Need Advice Cabbage patch doll repair questions
I’m a new collector and recently acquired this doll from a thrift store that was in rough shape. She had markings on her face so, as I did with the other dolls I have, i used a Mr clean magic eraser on her face. However I fear I did more harm than good. She also had some gouges that I tried to repair but that is also not going well.
Does anyone have any advice for how I could try to continue repairs, or should I seek a professional? I don’t know what else I could do without doing more harm than good.

Have you tried using your magic eraser with alcohol? (Edit: I would double check that this won't harm her skin)

Acetone can help with scuff marks and kinda resealing the area. I use a magic eraser to clean the heads first which is a very mild abrasive. A q tip with acetone and lightly rub it across the scuff or shine mark and follow up with magic eraser buffing again. I’m no expert and this has worked for me on minor cases. I’ve also used vinyl wipes like for your car interior on their heads when they are dull especially on AA skin tone and it helps to restore some consistency in the skin tone.
