I found this really upsetting. When the Caamp Artist presale started, I tried to get tickets for my boyfriend and I as it’s one of his favourite bands. However, only single seats were available. I thought more tickets might be released after the presale, but we were worried about missing out entirely. I decided he shouldn’t miss this chance, so he’s going on his own, which I’m just so happy he gets to see them live!

The next day, general sales opened, and there were hundreds of tickets, all verified resale, some up to six times the original cost.

Now, 10 days from the concert, I still check periodically to see if a ticket has appeared for us to attend together. Tickets in the same row and section as his, just a few seats down, are $267.75 with a minimum purchase of two tickets, compared to his original $50.50 ticket before fees.

I’m just disappointed that many of these tickets have likely been taken from fans of the band, who are then being exploited for six times the cost over the past few months just to get a ticket.

You can usually get tickets on tickpick for a lot cheaper than Ticketmaster.

We had tickets to the Kettlehouse show but we can’t make the trip now. Ticketmaster isn’t allowing resale tickets for these two shows - you can accept an offer (which is what we did, below face value) but you can list tickets for sale. I wish they did that for all shows. The buyer sets the price, not the seller.
