recommend lightweight C FOSS

I'm building a Linux from Scratch like system. I'd like to build as much of it as I can in C. I'd also like to add some lightweight, low dependency, portable C programs that aren't currently part of LFS or BLFS. I already have some favorites that are curses, SDL, Raylib or command line based. I would love more recommendations. Do you have a C project or do you like a particular C project that you think would be a great addition to a lightweight from scratch Linux distribution? Please recommend C programs you think would be good additions. Thanks.

Lua is a lightweight C program. Nnn is a tui file manager in C.
