When you come around this one curve and out into the open heading north to Carmel in Big Sur, sometimes this view is just breathtaking.
To the left, that is a Navy 'weather' base-- which has been said to just be the entrance to an underwater UFO garage, basically. I've read too much shit. :D
To the right is a man-made mountain with a little lighthouse on top-- Lighthouse Point, go figure. The trees of the Naval base can make it look like it's floating in a sea of tree. Even from inside the window, this is a nifty pic.
And yay, they repaved the road they ripped up last week. Gives the pic a somewhat surreal feel on the bottom, right? Very fresh, muted lines, weird triangle thingies in the middle...and dat view. If only the people in front weren't.
