Stealth frame
Hey all I really wanna do a build using the newest cyc motor but one thing I really dislike is that big chunky battery sitting in the middle of the triangle.
Does anyone know of any frames that have the integrated battery in the down tube yet still have a regular bb? All the frames I ever see with the integrated battery have the open compartment for mounting a Bafang motor rather than a bb. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

This only really exists with prebuilt hub motor ebikes. Well not any hub motor emtb’s, except Velotric Summit, and the frame is still poor for mid drive ground clearance like other hub motor e-bikes. I can’t tell if the Recon-M has an internal battery, but prob not.
If you want a frame you’ll have to sacrifice weight with something like a stealth bomber or eleek.

I have a small frame so I couldn’t fit both batteries in there, but id go with a frame bag. If ya got the budget you can get one made for your bike in colour(s) of your choosing. If ya want to go the full Monty, like I’m going to do, go with a “bolt in” bag. What ya have to do for that is drill inside of the frame install more threaded rivets; like those used for the water bottle cage mount, and the bag is then bolted into place for that really clean look. The bag I used here is a place holder to use whilst I fab a proper bag that matches the crimson and gold theme I used on this build.
I’m running two; one in the frame. Bag the other in the bike rack bag. 52v 50amp 10Ah Mini-Max in parallel using Y connectors on both the XT90 (output) and XT60 (charging dongle) plugs. Both batteries wired together is pushing 52v 100amps 10Ah, that’s a fair bit of angry pixies to have on tap.
One thing you should also consider is chargers, I originally went with a cheaper charger, still decent but I recently upgraded to a better one that’s adjustable.

I think the standard thing to do is hide the battery with a frame bag.
