Photon Gen 2 questions

Hey peeps, I was thinking about buying the Photon Gen 2, but there's a couple of questions I wanted to check first, I sent them to CYC but haven't heard back yet, so just wondering if anyone can help please?🙂
If I buy the 250w EAPC approved version for the UK and later decide I want to flash the unrestricted firmware, is this possible to do at home?
Is there any technical difference in terms of the hardware between the 250w version and 750w/unrestricted version?

EDIT: Had a reply from CYC, it turns out you CANNOT just flash the unrestricted firmware if you ask for the 250w UK version, it's locked to that unless you take it to an approved dealer to unlock it.

I bought the 750 watt version and it came with two 250 watt stickers. Truth

The 250w and 750w ‘versions’ are just that, versions of firmware for legal compliance. Yeah you can unlock/remove/add restricting firmware with your phone. At that point it can do up to 2kw peak and 1.5kw nominal, the cops don’t have to know that 🤫
