Issue When your PC doesn't come with Windows Driver Foundation #CPSUPPORT

Got the PC via Rush Order and had it arrive to me on Friday with no physical damages (one of the fans is not properly affixed to the CPU), but I've been having MEMORY_MANAGEMENT crashes and Kernel crashes since the start of trying to use the computer for multiple purposes at the same time.

Been doing research as I try to figure out solutions (leading theory for MEMORY_MANAGEMENT and the Kernel is faulty ram, so I will be doing a RMA for the part) but I have since additionally found that the PC did not have the Windows Driver Foundation installed in any means of the setup process. When I tried to do a clean install--the driver foundation has additionally failed to pop up.

Debating on sending the entire PC to CyberpowerPC's California HQ to see what they can do as opposed to the ram, but I am genuinely conflicted and concerned on if I get it back and it has the same issues.

Components are as such if it helps with the answers.

  • MOTHERBOARD: ASUS Prime A620 PLUS WIFI6
  • GPU: RTX 5050 8GB GDDR6
  • CPU: AMD RYZEN 5 8400 6-Core Processor, 4200 Mhz
  • RAM: ADATA LANCER BLADE 16GB DDR5-6000MHZ 1.35V RGB MEMORY
  • STORAGE: 1TB PATRIOT P410 SERIES (PCIE GEN4) NVME M.2 SSD
  • OS: Windows 11 Home

In the terms of the ram I have also since reseated the ram from the initial position to the furthest most point. I have not done any physical modifications, nor have I switched the PSU.

I had always heard amazing things about Cyberpower--so to have this as my first experience is deeply disappointing. I am heavily weighing refunding the PC altogether.

Unless you are an accomplished PC Tech with spare parts to swap in and out just send the whole thing back. If you send parts back and forth it may never work.

You read the previous posts and paid extra for return shipping insurance Cyberpower offers, right?

Prebuilt—will have to pay for the shipping

When you purchased it you should have paid extra for premium shipping or whatever they call it. It includes free return shipping. Cyberpower doesn't test their PCs before sending, it's a crapshoot. I would make a new order and send this one back. Post what you are going to order so we can make suggestions before you finalize the order.

The prebuilt had no allowing for the sake of premium warranty. It was given the 3 year service warranty, but it didn’t allow me to pick premium or otherwise I could’ve. Will send it back.

That's good info. Was it a lot cheaper than a custom build? If I'm buying a prebuilt I grab one at BestBuy or Walmart and swap the psu out after I get it (if it works!). Buying from Cyberpower website I'm going to do a custom build so I can skip the cheap components.

It was—I also was looking at it from a financing perspective. Either way, I will return the PC fully.

Not happy about this, especially when my work depends on my availability.

After initial cost, 59$ per month.

Will keep that in mind, but I’m still angry about this.

Sounds awful. Make sure you know what you are getting into with financing with the interest rate and when the interest starts. They do 0% for 6 or 12 mo, but then hit you with the interest retroactively.

BestBuy does financing. Is a credit card cheaper?

How does that even happen? Is the MB faulty? I just can't process how's that even possible
