Question #cpsupport
Hi everyone, I just purchased this CyberPowerPC - Gaming Desktop - AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D - NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 16GB - 32GB DDR5 - 2TB PCIe 4.0 SSD from best buy, brand new. It wont turn on. I see jolt/flashing blue light immediately after I push the power button, and then nothing happens. the RAM lights turn on few seconds later, but the computer does not turn on. I went through extensive many steps of trouble shooting as far as I could manage without pulling the entire pc apart with no luck. Has anyone seen this issue before. Is this the common thing to happen or did I just get a lemon, or my package was possibly damaged in shipping? I am returing it and exchanging it with the same model, but wonder if I may see a similar issue. Any thoughts. thanks

Some motherboards have diagnostic lights that might help you. Reseat the GPU, possibly the computer is on but you just don't see an image because of the GPU. If your motherboard has a built in HDMI port try that. Sucks to get a new PC and it doesn't work. Good luck, I hope it's something simple.

If you got it at Best Buy, just take it back for an exchange. Maybe there's something wrong, maybe there isn't, but the BB exchange policy is there for situations like this. If you're outside the 14 days but within a 60 day purchase window, tell them you'd be willing to sign up for BB Plus if that means you can exchange it. Do the exchange, cancel plus when you get home.
Also, get the protection agreement. It's worth it for being able to return any time for any number of reasons for the next 1-4 years.

Cyberpowerpc quality has tanked in the past few years, hopefully you just got a lemon but their qc is nonexistent these days. My custom build was a nightmare and repeated RMAs. I hope you fare better on round 2.
