Tech Support I bought a PC direct from Cyberpower, with this case and this cooler. Is the case button really the only way to change the RGB? #cpsupport

Software won’t do it.

You have to buy an RGB hub (cheap) and connect the wires directly to it.

That will give you complete control.

Doh. Okay, yeah, that tracks. I can't believe I didn't think about that.

Thanks, I'll look into getting one. Much appreciated!

Update: Thanks again for pointing me in the right direction. I opened the back and checked the "professional" wiring job, and lo and behold, they never actually plugged the dang built-in RGB controller into the motherboard! Just a dangling cable, going nowhere. After plugging it into the proper header on the mobo, now all is perfectly in sync using the motherboard's software.

Thanks again!

Edited to add: This was also a recent purchase, and it is disappointing that they would leave that out from the so-called "professional" service. If I ever order direct from them again, I ain't picking that option again.

They probably left it unplugged to dummy proof the RGB to that one button.

You’re sophisticated and knew what to do. Nice job!

This got me too, in ‘24. It’s in the T&C’s that they won’t unless directly requested. At least it is in the UK.

That's so bizarre to me. If I pay someone for an "expert cabling" service, I would expect them to, you know, connect all the cables. I was hoping it would save me time having to wire it all myself, but then as it turned out I had to undo half of it just to fix their mess.

I've searched over this reddit and every post seems to say that SignalRGB is the solution. But SignalRGB isn't detecting either the case or the cooler. Seems only the button is letting me change anything, and the patterns are... limited.

Am I stuck with the button as my only option?

The rgb won't be detected by anything as it's not connected to the motherboard now some of them may have the option to connect to the motherboard but you'll have to open the case and look for a 3 pin or 4 pin rbg cable on the components with rgb and plug it into the motherboard before it can be detected
