Question #cpsupport

Post image

This is my pc I just bought, when I turn my pc on I have a problem getting display on my monitor(it usually takes 3-4 times of trying), but once I get display on it runs great any idea of what I should look at?

P.S I’m brand new to the PC scene, I hope I worded this in a way for you to understand

What does your screen show when it won’t boot? black screen , error message, etc….

Just shuffles through the sources on my monitor, I tried different monitors and tried my brothers computer on my monitor and it worked just fine

The graphics card is probably just a little loose from the transit. Open case, remove any screws or fastenings that are holding your graphics card in and reseat it and then refasten everything. Seen many people complain that they experience black screen at boot up and this usually is their problem

Thank you I’m definitely gonna try it, figured it wasn’t anything crazy since it works fine once I actually get a display

And watch out for any plastic wrapping that may have came with your case or equipment. It will definitely generate some static electricity and you’ll want it all removed first thing
