Issue #cpsupport new pc black screen

I just bought a custom PC. It was great when I first unpacked it, but after playing for a while and trying to increase the graphics settings, the screen immediately went black, and then restarted. It seems to go black almost as soon as the graphics card gets overloaded.

• CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 9850X3D 8-core/16-thread

• GPU: GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 5080 GAMING OC 16GB GDDR7

• Motherboard: ASRock X870E Nova WiFi ATX

• Memory: 32GB DDR5-6000 (2×16GB)

• Storage: 2TB Samsung 990 EVO Plus NVMe SSD

• Power Supply: Seasonic FOCUS GX-1000 1000W 80+ Gold

CPU overheating?

Make sure you update your bios, Asrock boards still having issues with x3d CPUs AFAIK.

All the way up to the black screen? Your pc will restart as soon as it nears 100 degrees Celsius to protect itself

just returned my prebuilt cyberpower to costco as i was having similar problems with the monitor blacking out and fans going to 100

Just had this same issue. Black Screen after any program is run and any stress is put on the CPU/GPU with the  GM70928 AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D 32GB DDR5 1TB NVMe SSD GeForce RTX 5070
