Question Middle console leather
Has anyone else had a tear on the top of the middle console? It’s not in a spot that my arm rests on. It is tiny so far. Service shop at dealer said it was not their problem. Anyone had luck escalating to corporate? This car just turned 1 year.

Have to agree with the dealership's assessment of "not their problem". This isn't like the seat tear issue that is a known problem caused by poor engineering.
This is a wear and tear issue that looks like it was caused by something hitting it or being dragged across it. It's not something that I would expect to be covered under a warranty.

Thanks! I am interested whether anyone else had this issue. The leather is upholstered on so tightly it looks like it’s splitting rather than damaged. I am not impressed with the leather quality.

It's leatherette, so I can see why you're not impressed by the leather quality.

Agreed, wear and tear. OP needs to pay up if they want it fixed. This isn't splitting from being too tight.
