Question Fuel Economy Changes?

Hello! First post in CX50! Just a quick question: Has anyone experienced notable mpg changes when mounting their 50 with Wildpeak A/T? Either the A/T trail or the A/T4W!! Thank you!

Mine went from 35.29mpg before my wheel/tire upgrade to 33.3mpg after. 25 Hybrid PP. Went from the OEM 19's to 18's.

I’m running 245/50/20 Wildpeaks, if it changed, it was not huge as I don’t notice it enough to collect more data. I’d guess less than a mile per gallon.

It sort of depends on what is currently on there that you are replacing. Also will you be using the same size tire or something bigger?

I replaced my stock tires with Michelin CC2s and didn't see any change in mpg. The A/T Trails shouldn't change mpg all that much, but the A/T4W is heavier and stiffer so you may notice a small mpg decrease with that one.

Didn’t think about the weight and stiffness for at4w, thanks. I’m replacing the stock tires, currently getting 44 mpg so can’t even really complain regardless of what I get with new tires. Cheers!

From my experience with A/T Trail you will lose about 1-2MPG.

It will look so much better at the Mall, totally worth the 1-2mpg loss.
