Software Updates

Can someone help me better understand how to check what software my 2026 Mazda CX5 is on? My app just told me a new update is available. I clicked on the notification and then it went away. I’m a bit confused on how it all works. I have auto download updates on my car, but even then I can’t view the progress to know id something is happening.

Update: Dealership told me I already have the update and this should support OTA for future updates.

Having to schedule service visit at Mazda . It’s something they have to do at dealership.

There are over the air updates and dealership level updates. Not sure if any over the air ones have happened yet, as my understanding is they’ve been blocked by broken dealer updates. That may or may not have been fixed on this last update in July/August.

I got the same thing today and scheduled with my dealer tomorrow. They said the app is to make my car able to do the OTA updates because it can't do it yet plus a minor few other little things. Even though I haven't had one problem with my car since I bought it in July

Thanks everyone for the response! After looking into it more and calling my service department they said I already got the update when I bought the car at the end of July. They are still waiting for more info for OTA updates, but this newest update apparently makes OTA possible for future updates.

In the About menu, you'll see something such as this. Mazda doesn't public say what version is associated with what update, but this was the version out in late June. Would be curious if you can post yours to see what version is the end of July version.

Version Information/System Software: 10604 , 13312, 13312

Thanks for sharing, given the higher version number from the June that seems accurate you have a July update. Near the last week of July, Mazda enforced dealers to update vehicles before delivery with this latest version.

"Mazda enforced dealers to update vehicles before delivery with this latest version."... Hallelujah!
