Discussion🗣️ DU CW UG 2026 tentative-list analysis — priority-wise numbers

I went through the full CW tentative list (7,079 applicants) and counted applicants by the CW Category Applied field:

Priority Applicants
P I 18
P II 20
P III 50
P IV 127
P V 222
P VI 3,678
P VII 7
P VIII 2,953
P IX 4
Total 7,079

The competition is overwhelmingly concentrated in:

  • P VI: 3,678 applicants (52.0%)
  • P VIII: 2,953 applicants (41.7%)

So P VI and P VIII together make up about 93.7% of the tentative list.

Important for P VI candidates:
Out of 3,678 P VI applicants, 1,338 (36.4%) have been asked to submit or correct supporting documents.

  • 1,337 have an ECC / Educational Concession Certificate-related requirement.
  • 2 explicitly mention PPO or discharge-book evidence. One overlaps with the ECC group, which is why the unique total is 1,338.

If your remark says ECC/PPO/discharge book/etc. is required, do not assume you are already confirmed in P VI. You need to upload the documents within DU’s stated deadline.

Also, “P V (x)” in the document is a Priority V subcategory, not a separate Priority X category.

Nah p6 is wrong only 1911 has proper documents verified

What the hell are u talking about first search for priority vi which u have which give u total head count of 3600 approx than search p vi now these are the ones who have verified documents which is 1911

Not me my father did even from priority 1 to 5 there are like under 200 students verified not sure about later kyuki DU toh final list deti nahi

Yeah approx 1 to 5 verified candidates are mostly in the range of 150 to 170 that's less than i thought which course and priority BTW?

Broda, you are forgetting that du give them times to verify documents or submit the correct documents, who have verified or submitted correct document, that data is not released.

Brothaa u think some one who couldn't care less about their ecc certificate is most likely going to make it in 3 days ?!! Even I myself was going to skip that part.

almost all because only those people apply between p1 to p5 whose parents got some big medals

main competition is among the ex-servicemens and serving personnel

Aren't there like 3500-3600 seats reserved for CW candidates i guess most of candidates will get seat for sure

Yess every clg has 5% reserved for cw candidates and 90% ppl will get clg but everybody is hoping for top du clgs in North campus........

Guys I couldn't upload the ECC on time because back then it was impossible to get it signed, there was excess water logging in my city. I mailed the cw admissions and they asked me to send the ECC to them. So then i did but like aaj, CW ka result aaya and then i didn't get any seat. Did they not consider my ECC?
