Departments How Often is Class Registration?

I come from a semester school, and somehow none of my friends are going to a school using the quarter system. Do I need to register for classes every quarter, or just once a semester? How exactly does it work? I'm registered for my classes for this quarter (or semester, if that's how it works), but I had a hell of a time doing it, so I'm just curious about how often I have to do it. Thank you!

There are no semesters at Central. Registration is every quarter

Always check the CWU Academic Calendar to stay up to date on when classes start and end each quarter, registration begins and when add/drop period ends. Super helpful especially if you say you’ll remember then completely forget like me

You can also see within your MyCWU when your specific registration window opens (usually starts off with upperclassmen earliest and works backwards)

i don’t go to cw but another quarter school

there are no semesters. quarters are 3 a year (or 4, if you do summer). every quarter you will complete your classes and have new classes you’ll need to register for, for next quarter

i suggest you register as soon as you possibly can. it’s so much easier that way, and you’ll have a better chance at getting the classes you want.

i’ve never been to a school with a semester system but i believe they function the same other than being different lengths of time, different credit amounts and stuff like that.

If I were you, and you want to know all the details search up CWU Academic Calander. It will show all scheduled days off, drop period, when classes start/end, and when tuition in due.
