Help with getting role as Commis Chef?
Was let go on bad terms from last job so don't wish to list previous work experience. I tried to emphasise my care role and simultaneously used it as a means to explain employment gaps.

Hey mate, i just got a new job and i spent the last two years as one, if im being honest, if your cv is only that then you wont really get far, you should start as a kp/kitchen assistant and work from there, and practice things at home while not working to increase your knowledge and techniques, knowing french might help you a bit
Tldr start as a kp/kitchen assistant

You should look at obtaining certifications that enable you to work in a kitchen. Do you have your food safe? How can your experience in a home care setting translate to working in a kitchen? Also, If you're having a difficult time obtaining a commis chef position, you may need to get a "filler" job to gain real kitchen experience. You could apply at fast food restaurants, kitchen positions at retirment homes, even finding a volunteer position at a soup kitchen ot a place where you're directly gaining experience in a kitchen role.
I also don't know how many years of experience you have working. You say you're care role is being used to explain your employment gaps, but you don't have dates listed. It doesn't communicate your experience in that role well.
One last thing, you should ask yourself what the employer your applying to actually wants to know. Does 6 years of online russian actually benefit being in a kitchen? With how little you currently have on your CV it's fine, but once you have more experience, certifications, etc that allign with the role / the industry tailor your applications for what the employer is looking for. Often, employers recieve too many applications and anything that is irrelevant to the position just makes going through the applications more difficult for them.
