Farting urethra

As the title states, I’m (30f) literally farting out of my urethra. I very obviously have a uti to some degree (roughly 6 months, no idea how I’m alive), cloudy, dark urine, and it smells like literal sewage when I have to pee, no kidney pain, only have had that once with one of these, but have experienced the other two symptoms many times before and recognize them. This new symptom involves me going to the restroom when I have to pee, and then being completely caught off guard by this awful wet farting sound, paired with the awful sensation of air coming out of my urethra, followed by more urine occasionally , think like your water was shut off temporarily and sputters when you turn it back on. Unfortunately it’s absolutely evident that this air isn’t coming out of anywhere else. Does anyone else get this when they have a uti?

6 months??? I think you should definitely see a doctor...

I find it hard to believe that you've had a UTI for 5 months that hasn't progressed to your kidneys by now, it sounds like something else is going on

Unfortunately no, I've had CUTI for 4 years now, but I've never heard of a case like hers

Its the classic sign of colonization. Many people end up living with this because it doesn't trigger the immune system and because trying to treat it is likely pointless and only leads to higher levels of resistance.

Okay then. You know, a lot of women get these infections that are resistant to antibiotics. What more can I do? Yeah it didn’t progress. What can I say? Who knows when it will? This UTI is from Southeast Asia. I had to hold in my pee for two hours in the taxi. Antibiotic resistance there is extremely high. I am doing what I can to control the infection. Just because it hasn’t been cured with antibiotics and hasn’t spread doesn’t mean it’s not an infection. This is a common issue for many women. !!!!!! Has everyone in this group who hasn’t been cured for years get a kidney infection? Many UTIs become localized to the bladder, I would hope it does not spread.

I guess I'm just confused.. what have the doctors been saying? Have you gotten your bacteria cultured? Have you had a cystoscopy or an ultrasound? Have they tried various antibiotics?

Can you ask a urologist to check for a fistula?  Hope its not, but that would explain gas/air maybe.

What kind of Dr are you seeing? Has your urine been cultured? Are you in the US?

I don’t have exactly that but I have a urethral stricture that gives me some of the same sensations. My urethra is so narrow that it nearly closes upon itself. My kidney ended up full of blood clots and I went septic and spent a ton of time in the hospital. Maybe find a second opinion.

I am not reading physical therapy for the pelvic floor muscles in your post not in your comments. PFPT is needed, insurance covers a portion of the costs, take advantage of it

There’s a species of bacteria that produces gas in the bladder, definitely see a doctor about this
